The overturn of the thumb
The overturn of the thumb, usually occurs among ladies (the proportion of male to female is 1:30), it is a common kind of abnormality of the foot, normally symmetrical. Its symptom: the foot thumb slanted outwards, index slanted inwards, the angle between the toes enlarged, the foot thumb joint slightly dislocated, there’s formation of excess bones on the tip of the foot thumb, due to the friction with the upper of the shoes, part of the skin is thickened, sometimes swollen or even infection. When the slanting is serious, the index can be pressed downwards to form a hammer-like toe, this abnormality is associated with inheritance from the early generations. Besides, frequently wearing sharp--tip shoes or standing too long on high-heel shoes or walking too much are also the common causes.
